Very Important - This could not only affect your getting your monthly commissions, but also could effect the amount you get! Please read and email Davidp@badpuppy.com with any questions.

ALL 1099 Contractors and Companies will be receiving a 1099 in January of 2009 for funds earned in 2008. Please look closely at the W-9 (tax form) and read Part 2 "Certification" It is in regards to the 3rd line on the tax form all the way to the right, "Exempt Payee". This must be checked. The W-9 form now has to be filled out every year because of this box.

Example: Click To Enlarge  By your checking the box marked Exempt, your telling us that you've paid your previous year taxes and are not required or subject to pay "Backup Withholding".

We will not issue payments in January if the person/company hasn't filled out the new form and filled it out correctly.

The bottom line is if you owe the government money from last years taxes, leave the exemption box blank and not checked, we will be required to withhold 28% from each of your checks. If you do not owe the government money from last year, then check the exempt box and we will not withhold the 28% backup withholding!
